Narrative

What is there particular about radio? How must one adapt their narrative in this medium? That’s what I’m going to explore in this blogpost.

Tips on how to build a radio story:

1.) Ask a question

2.) Dive immediately into the narrative

3.) Introduce a mystery

4.) Establish the concept first

5.) Get personal

Reading I realised that the biggest advantage of radio is the possibility of creating just about any reality with virtually no budget. With the right amount of skill and talent, of course. It can quickly turn in possibly the biggest disadvantage otherwise. There’s nothing to help you and keeping the listener engaged is all up to you. Frightening.
