2nd Crits

Quite a bit of progress was made by the second crits session.

By this time we had a good idea of what the visuals are (except for the computer room). We had the musical parts and the bone interaction.

The foley sounds were still to be implemented in VR which left the bedroom scene soundless.

One suggestion made by Matthias was adding mechanical sounds to the music box room as well as spatialize the sound according to the instruments in the scene. This was something we already had in plans but hearing the idea reiterated reinforced it.

Another issue brought up was the clarity of the introduction. How obvious are the objects in the room? How are the interactive objects going to attract the player? This we thought of doing through sound. Since the main hub is thought out to be quiet and intimate, having sounds playing from the 3 interactive objects should work to point the user in the right direction.

For the painting scene, the potential difficulty of finding the right melodic sequence was brought up. I am not sure of how this is going to be fixed. Maybe with some visual clues?

I should mention that advised by her tutors, Clara has decided to focus of the computer scene solely. The book scene has been scrapped. This give us less room for play but more time to focus on the scenes we have.
