Final Crits

The project was not in the stage we planned for it to be by this time. The sounds were only roughly placed by Rosa in the project. It was our first time hearing it as well.

There was a lot of clipping happening, especially in the painting scene.

The feedback we got was:

  • Cinematic, sits well within the genre
  • Direct narrative journey
  • Bone bells – good for interaction
  • Environmental themes? What’s the ethics of that?
  • Embodies the enfolding of the objects themselves
  • Sonic clues
  • Organic/inorganic – interesting in the context of the computer
  • The concept comes through! <3

We were also asked to consider how the sound suggests the dream quality of the spaces.

There was also the suggestion that sonic clues may be used in the music box scene to help the player find the puzzle pieces.

The introduction done by the cat was deemed a good idea. However, we were asked to try to make the text shorter and more concise which I agree with.
